Batman & Robin was supposed to be one of the biggest tentpoles of the Batman & Robin debuted to horrible reviews and worse word-of-mouth, The big summer hits of 1997 were The Lost World:
The fourth and final film of what was originally the Michael Keaton-led Batman franchise is famous for being a disaster. Twenty-five years later, the 1997 Batman & Robin is still looked at as one of the worst - if not the worst - superhero movies of all time. Countless things are wrong with humanity, but this might take the cake.
Take it at face value, enjoy it as a footprint in the Batman history, and remember what the 90s were all about. Everything produced nowadays is too serious, too grounded and too morbid. Movie Review. A drama teacher once cautioned her class of aspiring young actresses, "Beauty will get you by for about twenty seconds; after that, you have to do something with it."
