Mar 11, 2014 · In any way I have a concern, I want to be sure that the engine will not have problems in 3 or 5 years. Therefore the reliability is important to me. I used to own German and Japansese diesel cars, but I have no clue about D2 ford/volvo engine. How reliable it is and whether I should better choose a bit more powerful engine (D3).

I was looking at all the strut braces and swaybars today actually and was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive they are (at least relative to Audi performance parts). Giving the V50 some serious consideration now.

It;'s very comfortable the engine has lots of torque and pulls really well even when heavily loaded. The only negative comment I have to make is on space, the boot is not as big as you might expect from a Volvo.

Most Volvos will be reliable as long as they've been taken care of. I would suggest looking at the different specs of each model, and decide which one fits you best in terms of usage. Volvo XC60 AWD 3.2 - 240hp/235torque 18/24 mprg 0-60 in 8.3 secs (same performance as my QX4) Obviously, the T60 will be more fun to drive but concerned about reliability. Most turbos require premium but the T60 only needs regular which I found interesting.
